Help & FAQ
Answers to the most common questions about ClipDraft.
Credits & Pricing
-
What are credits?
Credits are ClipDraft's currency. 1 credit = 1 generated AI video. You buy credits in packages — they never expire and have no time limit.
-
How do I buy credits?
Open your wallet, choose a package and complete the purchase. Credits are added to your account instantly — you'll see the new balance right away.
-
Do credits expire?
No. Your credits never expire. There's no expiry date, no subscription and no hidden deadlines.
-
Is there a free trial?
Yes — on your first login you receive free credits to try ClipDraft without any commitment. No payment details required.
Video Generation
-
How long does generation take?
Between 30 and 90 seconds, depending on the chosen video length (4 / 8 / 12 seconds) and current server load. A progress bar shows you the status in real time.
-
What settings can I configure?
You choose a prompt (what should happen in the video), duration (4 / 8 / 12 seconds) and whether the video should have AI-generated audio. The format is always 9:16 — the TikTok standard.
-
What happens if generation fails?
If a video cannot be generated (e.g. due to a server outage), the spent credit is automatically refunded. You never lose credits due to technical errors on our side.
-
How long is my video available?
Once generated, you can download the video immediately or send it as a TikTok draft. Download it promptly — server-side files are automatically cleaned up after some time.
TikTok Connection
-
How do I connect my TikTok account?
Click "Sign in with TikTok" on the homepage. You'll be redirected to TikTok's official login page — ClipDraft never sees your password. The connection uses OAuth 2.0, TikTok's official standard.
-
Does ClipDraft post automatically to TikTok?
No. All videos land as drafts in your TikTok app (under "Drafts"). You open the draft, can still edit it, and publish manually — nothing is posted without your approval.
-
What's the difference between Download and TikTok Draft?
Download: The finished MP4 is saved directly to your browser — you can use it anywhere.
TikTok Draft: The video is uploaded directly to your TikTok inbox via the official TikTok API and waits for your approval. -
My TikTok token expired — what do I do?
TikTok tokens expire after some time. When this happens, you'll see a message in the app. Simply sign in again with TikTok — the process takes only a few seconds.
Automations
-
What are automations?
Automations let you schedule recurring video generations — e.g. every day at 8:00 AM. ClipDraft automatically generates a video based on your settings and sends it as a TikTok draft.
-
Do automated videos cost credits too?
Yes. Each automatically generated video costs exactly the same as a manually created one: 1 credit. If you don't have enough credits, the automation is skipped and no video is generated.
Account & Privacy
-
How do I delete my account?
Open the app, click the profile menu in the top right and select "Delete account". All your data is deleted immediately and irreversibly — in compliance with GDPR Art. 17 (Right to erasure).
-
What data does ClipDraft store?
ClipDraft stores your TikTok user data (open_id, display name), credit history, generated videos (temporarily) and automation schedules. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
